Über uns
I'm a natural builder and teacher and am delighted to finally be in the process of creating my own home with my husband . On this build we will be three owners, because we're building a duplex on a town lot. We have diverse skills: gardening, cooking, weaving, beekeeping, construction and more. There's lots to share here. Two of us are German origin, one Canadian. We eat a mixed diet- one vegetarian, two omnivores for healthy food, as local as we can get.
Standort
The Cowichan Valley is on Vancouver Island. Duncan is a small town. Good people, great farmers, vineyards etc. Nice climate: not too hot and not too cold. Fairly good building season. Swim in Rivers and ocean, hike/ride trails, daytrips to Port Renfrew, Victoria, Nanaimo and Southern Gulf islands.
Projekte
Urban setting, duplex with shared common space, on large lot with fruit trees . Features : light clay infill walls with natural plasters, earthen floor, Timber frame elements, Passive solar design, possibly heat storage under the building. It's scheduled to happen 2022
Unterkunft
TBA Most likely we will be able to offer camp space for a Camper or trailer.
