About us
Hello I'm Nicolas, I've been traveling the world for 3 years now to learn about Natural Building through internships, apprenticeships, volunteering and any project I come across that I share the values with. From earth wall systems, to timber frame, straw bale insulation, natural plasters, hempcrete, etc, if I don't know how to do it I want to learn it in order to take it and share it into the next place I go to.
My place
The project I'm currently working on is located in Opwijk, 25km away from Brussels.
Projects
We are helping a family build a nice and cozy wooden frame extension with straw bale insulation. The owners wish to build this in order for their daughter to come and live with her family in the building right next to it. The frame is already done, the roof has already been insulated with straw, we need help to finish the walls and start plastering. If you're curious about straw bale insulation and earthen plasters, come and learn with us :)
Accommodation
Unfortunately the owners cannot provide accommodation but a carpool is organized from Brussels and if you want to come for multiple days, get in touch we might be able to figure something out :)
Food
The owners provide a nice fresh meal for lunch (sandwiches, veggies and a nice warm soup). They also provide coffee and tea troughout the day. It is usualy vegetarian with vegan option, one meal a day
