Acerca de mí

I am Weilee, currently based in Singapore but constantly moving. Being someone who grew up in the city, I have always been very enamoured by alternative living. I am a traveler, dreamer, doer... I dream about traveling the world in a van and a sailboat, meeting and building intentional communities.

Mi lugar

We will be building an earthen shelter on a land that will be turned into a regenerative vegetable farm. This land is owned by my friend Panha, and it is just slightly an hour's drive away from Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

Proyectos

I met Panha in northen Thailand in October 2022 at an earthen home building workshop in the north of Thailand. We stayed connected since then, as he told me that he would be building 2 earthen homes in 2023 - one on a land that he had bought and intends to transform into a regenerative farm, another for his aunt who is excited about living in an earthen home! This coming February, I will be joining him on that land to build the earthen home as part of his vision. It is currently only the both of us, but we will definitely need more hands, literally! Aaaand that is why I am here on Ecobilda 😉 If you are keen to help out with this project, please send me a direct message and I will send you more details. It doesn't matter if you have experience in natural building (but if you do, bonus for us as we both are new as well!), we just need willing and excited people to join us! You can join for a few days or weeks, there is no fixed duration. Just note that this will be a lot of manual work, so be prepared for that. The only other thing to note is that we will be living very simply as the land does not have much facilities for now. We will be sleeping in tents (please bring your own!) and will have simple cooking. Basic electricity and wifi are available. What we do have is a beautiful pond in which we can swim after a long day of work! As this is very much still a new experience for us, we are looking for people who are willing and excited to experiment and co-create - this includes not just building but also community-building and intentional living. Panha and I are both very excited people who dream (and seek to live) lifestyles that we dream of. Panha is a huge cyclist enthusiast! He has cycled from Cambodia to Thailand and hopes to do more trips like this. He is also very passionate about empowering youth of Cambodia to see the value of farming and return to it. As for me, I am a video-journalist, passionate about using storytelling as a tool for social change. Besides that, I am a traveler who loves nature, adventures and exploring. I spent 2022 mostly traveling, meeting new people, living with different communities... and I hope to continue doing so! Alojamiento

We will be sleeping in tents (best if you could bring your own but otherwise, let us know in advance so we can arrange for something) under a huge sheltered area. Basic electricity (including Wifi) will be available!
