    À propos de nous

Greetings, For several years I've been using Mud Fun Australia to organise and host festive “musical mud stomp” events that are tied into a construction project and based on the old “community barn-raising” events and their equivalents that still happen around the world today. We experience the power of strength in numbers to make superior heritage earthen masonry structures more accessible to all in a fun way. Each event is contributing towards developing a festive earthen masonry building culture that we invite you to be a part of and grow locally. Adolescent youth play a key role. Previously its mostly been happening through school communities but now I'm keen to offer this to individuals on private land. Attendees are invited to be barefoot-mud-stomp –dancers synchronising with live music ensembles, to churn the mud in front of interactive audiences. Food sharing is woven into the ceremony which is governed by a “more-the-merrier” ethos, as more people equals more participation, more education, more goodwill, and more accomplishment. The mixed mud is formed into blobs, passed down the line, and formed into bricks or cobs for building and sculpting walls thereby transforming the labour-intensive component into recreational fun. This process delivers both the physical structure and the hands-on learning experiences for all ages with adolescent youth at the helm. I'm looking forward to my upcoming 7 day event in Brisbane beginning on the Anzac Day weekend.
