We are Dhiraj K. Shah and Nivedita Bansal, driven by a mission to unlock the immense potential of hemp and other natural resources for sustainable living. In 2016, we introduced hempcrete construction to Nepal, marking the beginning of an enriching journey filled with exploration across various facets of natural building, sustainable development, small-scale manufacturing, and community empowerment. Under the banner of Shah Hemp Inno-Ventures, we bring together our diverse endeavors. Our commitment extends beyond mere construction and production; we advocate for a holistic approach towards sustainability. By integrating hemp and other natural materials into our projects, we aim to foster a more environmentally conscious lifestyle. When you choose to stay with us, you'll witness firsthand how these innovative materials can redefine living spaces while contributing to a healthier planet. In addition to our work with hemp, we are ardent proponents of organic farming. Currently, we manage a small farm at home and continuously seek ways to enhance its efficiency and sustainability. We are located in Janakpur, a quaint town nestled in the southeastern region of Nepal. Janakpur holds immense historical significance as it was once the capital of the Mithila Empire and is renowned as the sacred site where Lord Ram and Sita, as depicted in the epic Ramayana, were married. Our residence is situated in our charming family home, where we share our space with our beloved dogs. In contemporary times, Janakpur serves as the capital of Madhesh Pradesh in Nepal, embracing both its rich cultural heritage and its evolving role in modern governance. Amidst the blend of tradition and progress, our home in Janakpur is a haven where we welcome guests to experience the beauty of our town.

Logement
We offer comfortable accommodation in twin-sharing rooms at our home. If needed, separate rooms for male and female guests are also available. Our facilities include shared bathrooms, washing machine, wifi, hot water ensuring convenience and privacy during your stay with us.
