About us
On the shore of the wild Moson Danube, an especially beautiful and unspoiled branch of the Danube, lies the Kompasz Kemping - literally “between the islands” (= “Szigetköz”). On an area of one hectare there is space for tents and mobile homes/campers, beach, vegetable garden, covered outside area, beergarden, restaurant, playground and summer kitchen. But it is not only a Camping! It is a community space and cultural center with a big woodworkshop, pottery studio, permaculture garden and a cultural venue. We need help in building (with wood and concrete) to support our team of professional carpenters and builders and to maintain and improve our big vegetable community garden. If you are a professional, we are very open to discuss a salary besides food and accomodation!
My place
The very special ambience of this region and the lovingly organized campsite invite to linger and relax - so as it offers as well a multitude of activities and varied program. You can also visit “Taka Tuka Island”, that belongs to the campsite and is just a few minutes down the river, where the magic of this region can be experienced in a very special way. Novakpuszta is a smal, typical Hungarian village. The clostest town is Mosonmagyarovar where you can get actually everything you need and if you need to escape the countryside a little, Vienna is 40minutes, Budapest 1,5 hours trainride away.
Projects
We have ambitious plans to turn the Campsite into a community space, therefor we are building a new sanitary building and Spa area. Besides that, the main building needs to be rennovated. Annother project is the improvement and maintanance of the big vegetable garden.

Depending on your needs and wishes and the time you are staying, we can provide a flat on the campsite or Glamping tents with comfortable beds:
Food
we provide healthy and delicious food (3 meals/day) for all our team, vegan or vegetarian meals can of course be provided.
