Acerca de nosotros
We are a family of artists. Armand, Francoise and our 2 daughters. We believe in eco living and have been working on different projects to raise awareness through artistic projects and eco arts festivals in collaboration with likewise people to find/give solutions to people, to think out of the box and develop new ways to get things done, upcycle as much as possible, grow your own, consume less and reduce waste. Our aim is to become self sufficient and share our methods to anyone.
Mi lugar
We are situated in Bois rouge, not far from the famous Pamplemousse Botanical Garden. In the middle of sugar cane fields, about 2km away from the main road. 10 minutes drive to the capital, Port-Louis and 10 minutes to Grand Baie, where you can find beautiful beaches and lagoons as well as restaurants, night life and shopping malls.
Proyectos
We have a land of 4000 meter square where we are creating a little fruit forest, developing some permaculture techniques, creating a pond, water captors and building a cob house. We have been studying cob for many years and we are now ready to start. The foundation is done, the structure, the roof and the floor is finished, we are now starting the cob walls. We need help for collecting the clay and soil from the land and prepare the mix. Every weekend, we have friends coming to help dance in the mud and mixing the clay, soil, water and straw. We are looking for helpers for the cob making and work the land for permaculture design.
Alojamiento
For now, we can only offer simple camping accomodation on site. We have a water tank, real toilet and we can heat up water to fill a bucket for shower. Bathroom will be ready soon.
Comida
We can provide vegetarian food and snacks and non alcoholic beverages on the working days.
