How Hosting Works
Getting started takes just a few minutes.
Create Your Project

Receive Applications
Motivated volunteers discover your builds and send participation requests with a personal motivation message.
Select & Chat
Review profiles, accept the volunteers that fit best, and chat directly to plan their arrival.
Welcome & Review
The volunteer arrives, the build begins. After the experience, both parties leave a review that builds trust on the platform.
Questions before applications
Volunteers can ask you one question about your project before applying. You reply from your messages; their full profile appears with their application.
Your Responsibilities as a Host
The Ecobilda model is based on an exchange: your knowledge and project in return for help. Here is what hosts are typically expected to provide:
- A clear, honest project description
- Accommodation for the duration of the stay (when possible)
- Meals or kitchen access
- Hands-on mentoring and knowledge sharing
- A safe, welcoming working environment
Typically 4 to 6 hours per day, 5 days a week. You set the schedule of each build.
Most hosts provide a room, tent spot, or shared space. It does not need to be luxury — just honest and comfortable.
