By accessing or using Ecobilda, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use the platform.

Ecobilda is an online platform that facilitates connections between hosts who run eco-construction and permaculture projects and volunteers who wish to learn and contribute. Ecobilda acts solely as an intermediary and is not a party to any agreement made between hosts and volunteers. We do not supervise, direct, or control the projects listed on the platform.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account on Ecobilda. By registering, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and that the information you provide is accurate and complete. Users under 18 may participate in projects only under the direct supervision of a parent or legal guardian who holds an active Ecobilda account.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and keep your profile up to date. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. Ecobilda reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that contain false or misleading information.

When using Ecobilda, you agree to the following rules:

• Use the platform only for its intended purpose: connecting hosts and volunteers for eco-construction and permaculture projects.
• Provide truthful and accurate information in your profile, project listings, and communications.
• Treat all users with respect and refrain from harassment, discrimination, or abusive behavior.
• Do not use the platform for commercial solicitation, advertising, or any activity unrelated to skill-sharing and volunteering.
• Do not attempt to circumvent platform features, manipulate reviews, create multiple accounts, or engage in any form of fraud.

Hosts are responsible for providing accurate descriptions of their projects, including the type of work, required skills, accommodation conditions, and availability periods. Hosts must ensure a safe working environment for volunteers and comply with all local laws and regulations applicable to their activities. Hosts agree to accept or decline participation requests in a timely manner and to communicate clearly with accepted volunteers.

Volunteers are responsible for providing accurate information in their participation requests, including their skills, availability, and motivations. Volunteers commit to honoring accepted participation agreements and to performing agreed-upon tasks with reasonable care. Volunteers should inform hosts as early as possible of any changes to their plans. Ecobilda is not an employer; volunteers participate of their own free will and no employment relationship exists between volunteers and hosts or Ecobilda.

You retain ownership of content you post on Ecobilda (project descriptions, photos, messages, reviews). By posting content, you grant Ecobilda a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content in connection with operating the platform. You are solely responsible for the content you post and warrant that it does not infringe any third-party rights, contain illegal material, or violate these terms.

Ecobilda's messaging connects volunteers and hosts around a project. Before applying, a volunteer may ask a host a question, within strict limits: one message at a time until the host replies, no links or contact details, and a limited number of new conversations per day. The conversation then continues with the participation request. These limits are designed to prevent spam and ensure meaningful exchanges. Users must not use the messaging system to send unsolicited commercial messages, share inappropriate content, or engage in harassment. Ecobilda reserves the right to monitor messages for compliance with these terms.

After a participation experience, both hosts and volunteers may leave reviews. Reviews are published only when both parties have submitted their review or after a 30-day deadline, whichever comes first. This ensures fair and unbiased feedback. Reviews must be honest, relevant to the experience, and respectful. Ecobilda reserves the right to remove reviews that violate these guidelines or that are found to be fraudulent.

The Ecobilda name, logo, website design, and all associated content, software, and technology are the property of Ecobilda and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on any Ecobilda materials without our prior written consent.

You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Ecobilda reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or are reported for inappropriate behavior, after investigation. Upon termination, your right to use the platform ceases immediately. We may retain certain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

Ecobilda serves as a platform connecting hosts and volunteers and does not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of projects listed. We are not responsible for the conduct of users, the accuracy of project listings, or any damages resulting from interactions between users. Ecobilda is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ecobilda disclaims all warranties and shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ecobilda, its founders, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the platform, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

Ecobilda reserves the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or through a notice on the platform. Your continued use of the platform after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the modified terms. We encourage you to review these terms periodically.

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Belgium. Any disputes arising from or relating to these terms or your use of the platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Brussels, Belgium.
